Barloz-class Medium Freighter

The Barloz-class Medium Freighter was a popular freighter during the end of the Galactic Republic and the Rise of the Empire periods. It was later superceded by the YT-1300 freighter.

They were useful for hauling freight.

YT-1300 Light Freighter

One of the most popular light freighters in the galaxy at the time of the Galactic Civil War, the YT-1300 was favoured by smugglers and other criminal types.

The Rebels and Imperial Navy used them in their merchant fleets as well.

Meant to replace the older YT-1300 model, the YT-2400 was heavily armed for a civilian vessel.

Action VI Transport

One of the more popular transports in the galaxy, the Action VI could carry much more cargo than light freighters. 

The had no weapons, no armour and no shielding, so required convoy escorts like the Escort Carrier, Nebulon B Frigate or the Imperial II-class Frigate.

Escort Carrier

Once it became clear that the Rebellion and their snubfighter tactics were a threat to Imperial convoys, the Escort Carrier was created.

It was slow and had few weapons. The main defence was the wing of TIE series starfighters it could carry. They would mostly be TIE/ln Fighters as opposed to newer models.

The vessel would travel with merchant fleet convoys and send out starfighter squadrons if they were attacked.

Neutron Star-class Bulk Cruiser

Like the later Star Galleon-class Frigate, the Bulk Cruiser, fullfilled a dual role as a combat vessel and as a transport for the Imperial Navy.

By the time of the Galactic Civil War is was considered outdated and was mostly phased out. The remaining ones were sent to patrol backwater sectors or used in convoys. They were also used by planetary and sectorial forces which did not have access to newer vessels.

Modular Taskforce Cruiser

The Modular Taskforce Cruiser, or MTC, was a popular multi-role support vessel built by the Imperial Navy.

To simulate the multi-role nature I am building 4 variants for this module.

The stats above were for the stock model, but a number of variations were created.

In the mod I am currently using 4 variants: Observation, Rescue, Survey and Transport.

Observation Module

The Observation Module variant allows you to build Probe Droids and comes with a complement of 1 squadron of TIE Fighters.

Rescue Module

The Rescue Module variant allows you to slowly heal ships during combat.

Survey Module

The Survey Module variant comes with 1 squadron of TIE Bombers and 2 squadrons of Skipray Blastboats.

Transport Module

The Transport Module generates some income and allows 1 more space "population" value. This would have been the default variation, meant to haul goods and could be used in a merchant fleet role.

Modular Taskforce Cruiser

The Modular Taskforce Cruiser was built by Tagge Industrial Shipyards Limited, the same company that produced the Tagge-class Battlecruiser. This is a multi-role ship with a number of different modules, I plan on making the Rescue, Survey and Observation versions.

I have liked this ship since seeing it in Dark Empire. It fills a good support role in the Imperial Navy, adding flavour.

This module has no starfighters and is used as a mobile repair base. So in-battle it can be used to repair ships very slowly, which might prove beneficial in long, protracted battles.

Complement: 2 Squadrons Skipray Blastboats, 1 Squadron of TIE Bombers

Observation Module

This version of the ship lets you build probe droids, I always found them to be annoying when they can be built anywhere.
