TIE/ad starfighter

The TIE Avenger, also known as the TIE/ad Starfighter and the TIE Advanced was based off the TIE/In Interceptor which was based off of the TIE Advanced x1 (Vader's Starfighter at the Battle of Yavin.)

It was usually called the TIE Avenger to avoid confusion with the TIE Advanced x1.
